Any developments on this? Mine has just started doing the same thing! The alarm started going earlier, unlocked car with fob and alarm stopped. Car will now not lock with fob, it thinks there's a door, boot or bonnet open and has now started doing the door ajar noise when attempting to lock constantly every few seconds without pressing anything! Please help!

Sorry, nothing to report, I'm afraid. It only happened the once on my car; it was fine the next day, and the problem has not recurred since. I still don't know why it happened but if you ever find out, I'd be interested to know.

It may be worth checking the bonnet switch wiring behind the front grille. If its come adrift, the cooling fan can foul it and shred it. Mine had this problem which led to the copper core going green and unsolderable! Had to replace the whole section of wiring.

If a door, boot or bonnet is registering as open and you try and lock the car you will get a beep but the doors will lock.

BUT If it is the drivers door that is the one registering as open, you will get the beep and the doors will not lock.
