Wow, best wishes to her, and hope that she recovers well, and that there are no lasting effects.

She has had MRI and other tests etc and they appear to be saying she can go home in next 24 hours if observations go okay. So, optimistic ending. Thank you for all your good wishes.

Scary times, but if it's in any way re-assuring, a very good friend of mine had a sever stroke a few years ago. He was in his early 40's and extremely fit (a 3.5 hour marathon runner and triathlete).

Despite the severity of the stroke, thanks to a combination of his age, fitness, and the prompt action of the NHS, he very quickly made a complete recovery. He is now back to enjoying life as if nothing had ever happened, though he's on statins now as a precaution.

Hopefully, your daughter will experience a similar outcome. She is in our thoughts and prayers.

Speech much better. Maybe on of those mini strokes. I'm not an expert of course but we'll leave it to the medics to give the outcomes following the scans etc. Thanks for your kind wishes.
