Morning all, well it is for me I’ve just surfaced, for some reason I volunteered to do a night shift tonight!

Wee garden birds have more nouse than they're given credit for. I was sitting on the garden wall having a smoke. A Coal T1t flew from the (empty) feeders, landed only a couple of feet away, looked at me for several seconds then flew back to the feeders. Can't go out as I'm cooking so made sure the suet ball feeders are full and put some mealworms in another feeder.

Ok . . . . I'm confused! Had the hoover in bits, the brush bar isn't rotating but the drive belt is intact, even ran my finger around its full length to check the teeth on it, all fine. Everything turns freely, the overload isn't tripped, there's a green light on, goes red if anything has jammed the brush bar, tried the reset button again anyway. Can only be the motor isn't turning for some reason. I'll have another, deeper, look at it tomorrow, stuck in waiting for a delivery anyway. Not handy having a hoover with no brush with the girls in the house, without the brush it only lifts some of the hair, not all of it.

Morning all, been an unusually quiet shift at work, managed to get a few jobs done without getting disturbed.. quite a rarity!

I hope you checked the age of the Hoover belt and replaced it in accordance with the mileage Steve 🤣

Morning all,

I saw a report last night from one of UK’s daily’s, of passengers with families and children queuing up for 3 hours in the arrivals hall at Heathrow. Out of 32 Immigration desks only 5 were in operation because of staff holidays and sickness.

To comply with regulations, we are flying to and staying in a green listed country for 2 weeks before we fly to the UK. Our flight is 12 hours 35 minutes. Its just as well we are not flying into Heathrow.

What a nightmare flying has become, with threats of fines or imprisonments for getting the regulations wrong and not looking forward to wearing a mask for 12 and a half hours, but will have to work with it and take spares.

Nice day here sunny and hot. Mechanics yesterday completed most of their tasks, but we didn’t have a No 8 Allen Key to tighten up one of the CV joints....there is always something to look forward to

Cool

Morning everyone.

Wall to wall blue sky again this morning.

Had a really good afternoon yesterday at the bbq with my neighbours. Got to hear the local gossip. And was surprised by some of it, that has opened my eyes to what goes on in this community.
