Default What is this connector?

I was mucking around cleaning under the Bonnet the other day and I noticed this connector is very easy to remove, a little more digging and I found it should have a metal retaining clip which mine does not.

Anyone got any ideas where to source a replacement, it obviously hasn't caused any problems up to now but knowing it's missing is driving me insane.

im sure you would be able to buy something new online. if you can get a second hand one from a trader on here, with tail leads attatched you may be able to utilise the spring. if not then a quick solder job and heatshrink ....job done.

This is what the clip looks like. I dismantled this connector and all the rest when I replaced the head gasket in 2019.

EDIT: To answer your original question, it's the camshaft position sensor wiring plug.

Pleasure Shaun just don't drop it into the engine and then you have to remove the under tray, that's been done before by me too.
