Evening all, the heating oil turned up at 16:00hrs, we have had the builder on the roof all day hammering away at the repairs, I beggared off out with Meg for a walk to get out of the way.

2 weeks ago I had a vascular ultrasound scan as part of the National Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening which focuses detecting aneurysms through early intervention and saving lives.

People over the age of 65 are offered this service on the NHS. A triple AAA, is known as “the silent killer” because there are usually no symptoms or warning signs in people who have one until it’s too late.

Once detected, depending on the size of the aneurysm, patients who have an aneurysm go onto yearly/6 monthly/3 monthly monitoring scans, or if needed they are fast tracked for elective repairs through open surgery or endovascular surgery using a graft/stent.

Sometimes patients with aneurysms are not offered surgery because of their underlying health condition or the operation would be considered too dangerous for them to have to endure.

I checked with the GP yesterday and today, so far the practice has not received any referral requests from the hospital, so I will keep at it.

Mentally I am okay

Next weekend meeting up with Ed - Rover54 at the Ace Cafe Wembley

How are you?

Evening Phil,

I'm pleased to see you are keeping well. The various health screening programmes in the UK really are absolute tops. I attend an MOT for diabetes side effects every 6 months and am also on the 6-monthly eye screening programme.

I've had a good couple of years considering how Covid has affected society generally. I've been heavily involved in online teaching as part of my volunteering. My daughter and son have both graduated in engineering and both entered employment in engineering immediately. I am trying to convince them that they should start thinking about funding my hobbies but quite unsuccessfully at the moment. I think I need to work on my influencing skills.

I see the forum is quite free from politics these days which I feel is conducive to a more friendly atmosphere.

Cool

Morning everyone.

Am better today, the issue with Banana caught up with me yesterday and I spent some of the day back in bed. Keep feeling sick, all my get up and go left without me.
But thanks to Laura, my niece, I’m feeling a lot better.

Need to get to the bottom of Bananas woes. Starting with fitting a new battery, last replaced over 7 years ago.

Morning all.

Overcast, dry and feels quite mild. Apparently it's 11 degrees but seems warmer .

Andy - Escaping with a dog for a walk is always a good move

Bob - Glad to hear that you're feeling better in yourself. Laura's obviously a gem.

Let's all see what today brings.....
