Default For all of those who were at the waterwheel meet and wonder about our 75 that failed

Hello all,

This is for all of those who were at the waterwheel meeting and wanted to know what we found with the t reg.

So the aa got it home and then we got home. It started no issues but sounded horrible.

Further investigation we found metal in the oil. Upon removing the sump we found that the shell bearings are gone and the big ends are slapping about.

Looks like it drew up sludge from the failed hg and blocked the oil galleries and starved it of oil.

In the next few days the engine is going to get pulled and stripped to see the condition of the crank.

Thank you

Joshua and alice.

Thank you all,

In the next few days we will be pulling the engine and stripping it to see what Hannah’s has been caused and then going from there with what to do next. Rebuild the engine or replace.
