Airbag light
Afternoon all!
I know this has been asked a million and one times and ive tried all one million and one ideas yet nothing works! So it started when i got the car about 2 weeks ago, seller told me the airbag light had came on but reading the forum with solutions i was confident, now I'm loosing paitence! Carpet was sodden it turned out so out it came and left to dry whilst the drainage mods were completed. Refitted the carpet and sprayed the connectors with GT85, not WD40 however i dont know if it will make a difference. I remembered whilst the carpet was up i saw two airbag sensors under the seats looking like this Again, both connections were sprayed and still no joy! Im guessing im not the first to have tried the tested and still have no joy and no doubt i wont be the last! Any one got anyideas before i start throwing money at it? |

Sometimes you need to make and re-make the underseat connectors several times to clean them up, you may want to consider cutting them off and replacing with electrical connectors.

I had this very problem a couple of months back, all I had to do was extract/insert those big connector thingies that plug into a largish underseat box of electrics that had ( iirc ) Lear Corporation printed on it.

I too have this problem.
I have disconnected and reconnected both the yellow and blue underseat connections several times but there has been no change. I did see an earlier post about the underseat modules (the ones you found under the carpet) and they can be the cause as can the seat belt tensioners as they are on the same circuit. When it gets to this stage I guess a T4 session is needed to narrow down the options. boater |

Try chopping the yellow plug strip back the wires and twist together that way yon are sure of a good contact if it cures it you can fit another plug or other form of mechanical connector I soldered mine 😁
