Front suspension problems?
Hello all I'm after some advice if possible please.
I fitted new front springs and top bearings yesterday after one snapped again and seem to have created a new problem. The steering is lighter as expected with the new bearings but the car now pulls to the left and the right at different times. Not a slight wander though it's more like I've turned the steering wheel. At slow speeds when turning the steering there is now a knock occasionally that sounds like it's coming from the spring area that wasn't there before. The track rod wasn't removed at all, the hub was taken of the strut then the strut was taken off the car. Done this job twice before and never had any problems but not this time. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what it could be before I strip it all down again. Thanks

Id say an issue with a strut top bearing.

Thanks for the replies.
The droplinks seemd ok when I checked them didn't seem loose at all. Will check them again and make sure everythings tight. I was thinking along the same lines as Trikey unfortunately. If nothings loose then I think I will have to take it out and check the bearings. Thanks again.

As Trikey says. If the strut was not tightened up at the correct angle, you could have a misalignment of the top bearing.

I've got the use of a ramp next week so going to give it a good look over again.
Thanks Andy
