Looks like this car may run again as a local chap is taking delivery on the 27th December with a view to sorting out hgf and returning to the road.

Tom from Stoke picked up the car this morning. Since my original post got the car running and it did about 1/4 mile on private land to test this morning. Despite effectively being abandoned in December 2016 the body appears in good condition as are possibly the four off Avon tyres though only cursory look undertaken. MOT will decide the position.

Most pleasing that this car which I bought new for my wife with two young children in February 2006 at 1/2 price from a main dealers will live to see another day - once the head gasket failure has been attended to (will be the third time) and anything else time has caused me to forget. Tom hopes to have the car at 2020 Pride of Longbridge event and I wish him luck.

So a very good 1999 Rover 416 four door saloon left our house for pastures new last week and the 75 this week.

I really need to thin out my ZT collection!

Thanks Steve. I managed to get her back to my lock up. Havent gone in depth yet. Tyres seem to be good apart from the O/S rear which has cracked from standing and the plenums have been blocked. But I should hopefully making progress with it shortly. I bought a new battery today. She is now known as 'Puddles'

It was good to see you, and some of your collection. I have started a thread to follow call 'Saving Private Puddles'
