Wouldn't know. The lamps in my 2000 vintage 75 are halogen bulb and they needed polishing due to over spray of paint and general grime.

Default Brasso

I,ve tried everything, from T-Cut, to Compound, wet n dry, buffer and next doors cat and they still look naff. Bought some Brasso from horrid Tesco for 50 bob and jackpot, the lights and spots look brand new YEEEEEHAAAAAA

They will need doing semi regularly though because the reason Brasso works is that it leaves oil behind that clarifies the haze (like fat on chip paper). It wears off.

Only really buffing out hard, with a drill polishing head (a few quid on ebay), then coat in one of the ceramic hard coats, or a glass coating like G-Technic G1 (or 3).

The best way to stop the lights getting pitted and abraded is to take them off during the day
My "W" reg lights are very good with little pitting, I wonder if driving too close to the vehicle in front and high speeds have a bearing on this?
