Correct tyre
Hi, been offered some michelin 215 55 16 93v primacy. The handbook states, for my cdt tourer 215 55 16 93w. Will I have a problem with inappropriate tyres at mot time? I would think not as v rating is well over the 75's top speed.

For peace of mind it won't hurt to give your insurers a ring .
It has been known for them to hold that fitting a tyre lower than manufacturers' spec invalidates the insurance Doesn't make a lot of sense , but since when were insurers sensible ! Quite a few previous threads on this matter , ie http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ght=tyre+speed

As W is a higher speed rating than V, then no, it won't make difference to insurance.

The OP is proposing to fit V's instead of W's

my bad.
In that case make sure all other tyre parameters meet or exceed spec especially the load rating. And, trust me, your cdt will never make it to 149mph! Save
