The thread that I saw a couple of weeks ago had a good picture if the bottom of the car. There were 2 drain pipes that looked to be inside two channels attached to the bottom of the floor - one on each side of the exhaust tunnel and pointing to the back (maybe a foot or so long). I think they could separate like some sunroof ones do or maybe get plugged up and back the water up the pipes. I'll see if I can find that picture.

Cheers,

OK, here is the picture https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...54&postcount=2 . You can see the tubes which confirm my defective memory - tubes, not channels! Also, I incorrectly called it the condenser, but it is actually the evaporator.

Does a crack in the windscreen mean an MoT fail?
I've just copped for a crack at the bottom left of the screen and, typically, it's due an MoT next week.

Depends if it’s in your field of vision.

More difficult than youd think, it is incredibly easy to break one when removing. I made a tool that sticks to the inside of the screen and pulls wire through the bonding. so far ive had a 50% success ratio but my technique is improving so its getting better

It's bottom left, running from the bottom going diagonally about 6" to where the tax disc used to be.

Since I posted, the MoT station have been asked and are being non-committal but saying, via Jules, that if it's in the area of sweep for the wipers it could be a fail.

Don't use standard monofiliment fishing line, use braid. It's much thinner in diameter for the breaking strain so will cut through the bond better than normal line. However it is more expensive so ask any friends who going fishing for a few yards if they have some or buy some cheap stuff from ebay.

The liklihood is that by next week such a crack will be much longer. You should really pop over to a windscreen place who will drill a hole on the end of teh crack to stop it spreading and then fill.

I don't use fishing line at all, I use 0.5mm braided steel wire. had the most success with this
