Default Sat Nav gone for a burton

Hello, My SatNav on my head unit has suddenly stopped working, all I get is a white screen with a cross in the middle I wondered if anyone can tell me why it has happened and if I can get I back up and working again? Hoping someone can help, all the best. Gerald

you dont say what type of satnav it is. but i can recall that on my double din unit (long gone now) this screen is part of the set up proceedure for your touch screen set up. you need to press the centre cross and then you should see the same cross appear in each of the four corners as you work your way around the screen by touching the corners one after the other.some units go corner /centre /corner centre and others after the centre touch first each corner one after the other but centre cross in between. just allow time after pressing each time for the next cross to appear. its simple once you get the hang of it. its for touch screen recalibration and should be documented in the install booklet if you have one. others on here may be able to assist further. good luck.
