Ahh. Ta muchly arctic. It’s basically a block of wires where they meet then really. Silly question but do you know where it is on a diesel 75? I get the impression you do know!

In simplistic terms it is a communication system that connects various electronic modules together. It is not something that you can remove from the car and say "this is the K Bus"

Right you are. When you mentioned k-bus after getting the er message in the climate control display, I was wondering where the k-bus was!

Up behind the light switch module I believe.
For fault finding see MGMarc's post no. 15 in the thread "K Bus issues".

A bus is a computer concept - it's a system rather than a wire or something. So the USB on your computer is a Universal Serial Bus, consisting of wires, plugs, sockets, and software/protocols which define what happens on it.

But essentially it's a communication system, designed for transferring information from one place to another in a structured way

Actually identifying K-Bus wires can be difficult due to the unusual color coding. Basically every K-bus wire has red and white stripes with a yellow dash every three inches or so. The yellow dash isn't easy to spot and seems to have been applied with a small paint brush. It's basically a splodge and doesn't form a yellow band around the wire as you might logically expect. Even the experts can get this one wrong, so always double check for the yellow splodges.

Doesn't help that some k-bus wires are just red/white with no yellow spots especially those that go to the k-bus headers
