Dambusters
Has anybody been here ? It is the Dambusters Inn located in the village of Scampton in Lincolnshire. RAF Scampton is where the dambusters raid started from and is now the home of the Red Arrows who can be seen practicing regularly.
The pub inside is a museum to the Dambusters with lots of memorabilia pictures etc - including a bouncing bomb in the entrance porch !# Well worth a visit if you are in that neck of the woods.

I live about 20 miles from Scampton and prefer going on the B1398 to Lincoln (past the pub - which I use fairly frequently), rather than use the A15.
RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire is also linked to the Lancasters, and there is a similar pub at Thorpe Tattershall called the Blue Bell IIRC. There is ,of course, also the Ladybower Inn in Derbyshire where they practised the bombing runs on the Dam at the head of the Derwent valley.

You’d better watch out, you’ll have the level horizon police after you for a shot like that!
