Dunno what the hell it is, but it's at Chatham Maritime and I thought it would make a nice backdrop for the car

I would guess its a hoist of some sort, perhaps canal related

Yep, sounds like something the local Council would do. Put a narrow boat hoist in the middle of a car park.

You may laugh, but if you turned up there with your narrow boat then you'd be sorted. Unlikely, but you never know Every eventuality catered for

I've been meaning to let the club know about this simple device that opens the bonnet when the cables let go on your 75/ZT !!!!
