Hello Micky, really sorry to hear that. They might turn up at a local market/ car boot sale - worth watching. Given the importance of the tools to your livelihood I would post a few notices locally with a reward for their return no questions asked - worth more to you.

Mick, I am truly sorry. I can only imagine how sick angry and distraught you must feel. You wonder about people, look at the support you have had from the members here, I hope it helps.
Having been the victim of theft more then once I know the uneasy feeling you are left with but think of the good you have done and the good people there are. fingers crossed they are caught and your tools recovered macafee2 |

Sorry to hear that Mick, I've had tools stolen from my van and remember that pit of the stomach feeling when you realise what's happened. To steal someone's tools of their trade is very low indeed and takes a special kind of scum. All the best and good luck!

Your not wrong Trikey, plenty of them around these days. They wouldn't know what it's like to do a good day's graft or know the sense of satisfaction gained from it. That's why they respect and appreciate nothing.

Sorry to hear this mate.
The police and authorities have basically just given up on crime. With joke sentences even if the police bother to investigate. They don't seem to realise that the less that they investigate, prosecute and jail the worse the situation gets. To the police a shed break in, tool theft, van break in or burglary are just low level crime at the bottom of their agenda, they don't seem to get the fact that to the victims it means loss of the means to earn a living or a legacy of feeling that their home or property has been violated. I am just about to to do a piece in the local paper where a local resident photographed a crime in progress called the police who attended and took the details of those involved but after 9 months of attempting to get the police to prosecute, they despite having pictures, officers attending and watching the culprits still on site and committing the crime and being constantly nagged to prosecute including a formal request from the local authority who owned the land and materials involved have decided it is not in the public interest. I'm really struggling to see what the point of the police is in its present form at the moment. And yet we still have the bleeding heart liberals declaring that we jail too many and the conservative government now saying that they are just weeks away from dispensing with jailing anyone who recieves a six month sentence or less " Because it doesn't work" I'd suggest that it doesn't work because the sentence is not a year or 18 months. Anyway best of luck in getting things back to normal. Last edited by bendrick; 27th June 2019 at 07:21.. |
