darcy dog yours has loads of beans left in it.............

i wonder what mileages these diesels do before even the very best looked after ones are kaput!!!

if you think there are just 10 in the all time list above 300,000 miles looks like not many get past that mileage.

and most of those except one is not above 320,000 miles. however that does not mean they wont, may be just expense to use reward is NOT viable, i guess

Marinabrian T4d a taxi in Durham that had close to 600,000 on it, I think the main problem is folk get scared of the big mileage and get rid of the car.

I fired my 250k diesel up yesterday for the first time in over a year and it sounds lovely.

TRIKEY I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT!

Same here i fired mine up after one year break and like yours sounded fantastic! M47 engines with Rover turbo's NOT the BMW swurl value turbos are the best combination

ROVER do not get the recognition for their Turbo improvements which was far superior to the German BMW ones which break down every few thousand miles. My Rover Turbo is the factory fitted MG Rover one , still has kick 312000 miles later what engineering from the Birmingham Boys!!

Yes the M47R turbo is pretty much bulletproof if a little low on boost - a credit to Mitsubishi.

Creeping ever closer at 200K. If I hadn't changed job and moved house mine would have reached the Moon first half of last year. Barely use the car at the moment as it's cycling distance (and quicker by bicycle) to work now.
