Default fun, word quiz 1

In this quiz you must spell a word that has two or more meanings and provide a sentence for each meaning.
Example:-
Read

I am going to read this book.
Yesterday, I read that book.

Hesitate to do this, but think it is in context. It is a grammatical sentence and the operative word is dependent on punctuation! I have included the dots to help. If it is unacceptable, my apologies! I will delete if necessary!
