Default a How to Stop losing those jacking pads

Fed up with jacking pads disappearing every so often ,

just don't like the gluing idea especially with the reports of rust around those areas .

So this seems to work well and the pads fit in with a satisfying Click.

I found a bit of silicon tube left over from replacing my washer pipes , cut a piece about 10mm long off , carefully bend the pad's lugs back to the original shape , ram in the rubber bit .

I suppose any kind of rubber will do even a small cube .

If you can't find the right size pipe you could split it longways and trim down .

the pads clips are a bit harder to clip in but a tighter fit now a lot less likely to fall out .

Chris ..

PS Only showed 1 tube in, but use 2 pieces on each pad.

Great idea Chris

I have my pads sat in the conservatory at the moment, with a small metal socket in each between the two lugs. The sun can warm them up while the sockets expand the lugs in position.

Good tip, necessity is the mother of invention.

And can i ask what you cover the holes with please? I covered my sons missing pad hole with a piece of tarpaulin from a shed roof 2 years ago, and funny enough last night asked if he had checkedit, no. So i checked and it is still there. Anyone got a pad they do not want please?
