Does 400mA (0.4A) drain sound possible for a faulty diode pack?

I shall be releived and annoyed if it is the alternator as a reconditioned unit was only fitted 18 months ago.
It was the alternator diode pack when I had a "flat battery" issue but new alternators were still available when it happened to me 10 years ago.

I think you have to make sure that when you connect the fbh plugs, you have to connect the non power plug first. Trebor or Devilish will be along shortly to correct me if I am wrong?

I was going to reconnect then whilst the battery was still disconnected.

But, of course, any advise is more than welcome.

No problems doing it the way you suggest.--
