1st Trip Out This Year
Just come back from a sightseeing holiday in London..
We,( me and missus)stopped at a Caravan Club site in Denham Uxbridge and caught the train from Denham Station (approx 1 mile from site) into London. We bought a railsaver ticket for just over 80 quid including the underground for the week, so we could travel anywhere we needed to by tube. The train from Denham into Marylebone only took 20 mins and we made sure that we missed the rush hour commuters when travelling into London. As far as the car, the 75 towed my 1400kg Swift Corniche faultlessly.. Highly recommended.. G |

Towing no problem
Quote:
Just tried my Rover75 CDTI tourer with Synergy2, fitted by John at Andi Willis in Doncaster, on a trip to the Milestone site near Newark. Absolutely no problem with large 5 berth tourer, Lunar 525 Freelander. The only danger is forgetting you have twenty odd feet of caravan on the back of the car. I think the Synergy, set at high torque, made a difference. The Milestone site is a caravan club site but is open to non members. It is absolutely immaculate with easy access to Newark, a great market town. Highly reccommended. I still can't reverse with my caravan and am reluctant to spend £600 on a mover that I'll probably use, at most, a dozen times per year. Any advice on reversing would be greatly appreciated. Pics to follow. Kev. |

Camera at the back. Get the mover together with some friends who also go caravanning. Practise

Not really worth it for us as we don´t live in UK. Some of their sites are okay and not too expensive as a -guest-, some are horrendus. The one in central Oxford for example
I pipped CC at the post the other year (2007) when they had their 100th birthday. Bought a caravan book off ebay, printed in ..1907. Some of the texts are hillarious..... Last edited by Roverowner; 17th August 2011 at 17:11.. |
