Morning from a very damp Scotland. Rain battering against the window woke me up in the early hours. Frequent heavy showers all morning.

We were down in York yesterday because her relatives who were here staying with their daughter (at college in the UK) are heading back to the Philippines in a few days. The husband is a cousin of Ging's mother, no idea what relation that makes him to her. Ging said he was a retired General in the Philippine Air Force . . . . turns out he was a bit more than that, retired Lieutenant General and former Chief Of The Philippine Air Force!

I've been doing some more tater harvesting this afternoon now the rain has stopped, I planted 6 Maris Piper seed potatoes in one of those Car parts suppliers bins (I get them off my lorry driver mate who gets them from parts distribution centres) & I've never had as many spuds in my life It's absolutely choc-a-bloc with taters Got some big Maris piper out so we'll be having crinkle cut chips with something or other for tea tonight

Yeah I understand how you’re feeling, I had my collie/spaniel for about 7 1/2 years and I was absolutely devoted to the dog.
He was about 13 years old when we put him down, and even though it’s been since 1995 he still means a lot to me and he’s the main picture on my mobile phone.
So I know exactly anyone can feel for their dog(s).

Cool

Good evening all.

Managed to get the hedge trimmed and the grass cut before the rain arrived.

Took 3 large bags of garden rubbish to the tip just as it started raining.

In between the showers I stripped down a 1/76th scale Scania and trailer. Resprayed the parts in Chrome Yellow and Firefrost. I’ll get it finished tomorrow and post up a few photos.

Burgers, chips and baked beans for tea.

Just having a glass of wine.
