Highline to Android assistance
Humm, well got myself in a bit of a pickle.
Pulled out my highline tv with the plan to install my android head unit. Its one of my £30 units in a mg7 trim. For some reason I had it in my head there would be a BMW 17 plug behind the dash and I could just plug my new loom into it. (I've built up a 17 pin loom to the android loom) Obviously I'm completely wrong. And have the click in white and blue ones, and no sign of an ariel. What exactly do I need to get this all working. The old highline unit also never had radio or sat nav, so I'm assuming I'm going to need to replace either the radio module with a working one or if someone can suggest an alternative which will give me a good signal also. I also have a H and K rear sub if that makes a difference. This will be on my LHD car also, so if its simpler to not use the h and k, then that frees up suitcase room for me on future family holidays anyways

Check the loom further down, where the audio loom connects to the main car loom, behind the ashtray/aircon panel . You will need to extend the aerial lead from the window aerial lead.

Does that mean the one at the rear c pillar at the rear, or the one in the boot?

Either. The current lead will be from the 'C' pillar to the unit in the boot. You can either completely replace the existing cable and run it from the 'C' pillar connector to the stereo, or extend the existing cable and re-route it to the stereo.

Ordered 5 meters of cable there, will do it via the c pillar. Also found the plug, it was standard iso and not the BMW one.
Had to remake my android loom, but I did find a 1 meter aerial extender so I fitted the whole unit and can run the other 5 meters in later. Hopefully this will sort everything.
