Update. The tourer landed locally and nipped off to collect it.

That awkward moment when you buy a white estate car thinking it's Old English creamy white to match your saloon and then realise two days later its Aaron white / ambulance white.

It was just DIRTY and might have been my colour blindness lol.

And an update on my saloon

Taxed now, on the road and fitted with dual colour fog lights. With one switch on off they are 6k white and with another on off they are yellow 2300k which makes a nice difference in the fog.

Video link of them in action.

Thumbs down

Got some time between studying, food hunting for my family members and also the gym to give it a wash

End result of the quick cleaning to see what we have underneath.

Majority of the car is straight, I'd say it will need two sills pretty soon, maybe even for this mot. We shall see.

After that there's a wierd split in the arch wing paint and a few stone chips.

Inside has some basic wear to steering wheel but the rest of interior is in remarkable condition.

However overall the car is straight and true. Definitely worth reserection.......

Decided to play around with plastidip and had some good and then a bad result, meaning I had to redo it!

And then frustratingly it began to react on the 5th coat. So I ended up sitting after it all dried, having to peal it all off and start again.

The end result. I will be doing another one, this time without using any masking tape as that worked against me on the fine details of the grill, and I'd also remove the grill badge next time.

Took the time today to give the car a proper clean today. It took a long time due to a combination of illness currently and actually once I started it became a lot more work.

Never clean a white car, it makes the rest look dirty lol

Stunning. Really love the white saloon. If you ever decide to part with it, I’d be interested.

And last pictures of the big clean, doubt it will ever get this effort again.

And finally my new number plates arrived today.

Great work, Colin

That saloon looks to be in remarkably good condition.

Cheers,
Karl.

Question

It has a few faults. Scuff on front bumper but not enough to bother me to repaint it just yet. Fee stone chips also, keep hoping to find a good stone chip match.

Hmm. I don't know if an Irish NCT is the same as the UKs MOT, but here I'd say you'd probably just get an advisory and nothing else. To my untrained eye it dosen't look too serious.
