Default Snapped bonnet cable

Hi! Yesterday I changed the bonnet catch locks on my 05 ZTT and before I put the bumper back I wanted to check if they functioned correctly and it closed nicely but then it wouldn’t open again! After a couple of tries the cable snapped and now the car just sits the useless with its bumper off! Can somebody please help me?🙏🙏🙏

Default Snapped bonnet cable

Use an ‘S’ shaped 10mm spanner and undo the bonnet pins.

No I’ve discovered the cable has not snapped but the cable fastener just behind the handle had popped out! I’ve adjusted everything in correct position and made sure the latches operates freely and closed the bonnet again and still it won’t open! When I’ve pulled the handle to a certain point the cable just pops out of the metal bracket again! The cable doesn’t seem slack at all but is this an indication I should change them anyways?

Leave the 8mm headed bolts loose on the latches in the slam panel.
