Default Naughty words

Does anyone program the workings of the web site with words to treat as a naughty word?
I used a word for a piece of grass and it came up as a naughty word but a Google search does not show it as a naughty word. The worst I could find is if "off" is added at the end.

Just use a number instead of a letter.

I agree but sometimes the filter seems over sensitive, I used a word the other week to explain a mistake and it blocked that. We are adults after all.

That's the appealing beauty of our beautiful language. There are so many and various aspects of the same word, entirely dependent on context.

I too fell foul of the same word, so the same offending word to which nobody claimed to be offended, or even uncomfortable with in any way, was censored by a non-human (but very offensive to me) agent who bears no responsibility. Is that queer or what.

If a word of three letters incurs virtually a whole line of censure from the human-free censor, which was even more offensive than the original one if that were possible, then a revision is needed.

To my eternal shame I had been offensive to an unknown individual non-complainant who had not so much as raised a finger in objection, never mind two, and who remained un-offended, presumably. I suffered the same ignominy. A pox on them, and let’s have a timely audit for adults. That sounds like a slogan to me.

Following a time-critical self audit, how pleased I am to be able to criticise generally and applaud our own filter particularly for either allowing, or accidentally missing, the relevance of more than one thingy which, depending on the context might just have triggered an objection. Oh sorry, used a word with double g's - not supposed to do that nowadays are we.

Not so much Big Brother is watching you as Big Brother is editing you.

The last sold ordered 75 Tourer. Paid for by the Phoenix Four and handed over by John Towers to the Warwickshire Northampton Air ambulance service as a Rapid Response vehicle
