Sounds alright to my ears, but I'm better at cleaning them than fixing them!
It'll be interesting to hear the views of the more mechanically minded members. Cliff

If it's of any help, my KV6 had piston slap when starting from cold and was a fair degree louder than yours. You can hear it here (noise starts at around 19 seconds into the clip):

If the engine is cold then it doesn't sound too bad to my ears either. My earlier V6 was dead quiet, my current one sounds a bit like a diesel when first started. A bit better now since I added some special tappet lube but still not as quiet. Been thinking about flushing it, but when warm it just purrs.

Thanks for all the replies guys, you've put my mind at rest I think.
Still got to flush it and change the oil and I'll also swap out the VIS motors then check again and hopefully it will sound better.... as I said maybe I'm getting paranoid All the best Paul |

Hi Paul,
Here are a couple of sound recordings of another member's car after using Comma Flush Out. Go to this post. Needless to say he was delighted. Simon
