If I understand correctly you have changed your IPK (instrument cluster or IKE). You now have a mismatch in the mileage (odometer) between the IPK and the LSM (light switch module) and various other modules. You can’t correct the IPK yourself but what you can do is change the mileage in the LSM to match the IPK and the “ERR” message will go away. Or if you could get the LSM from the same car as your IPK, then there would be no ERR mismatch. Otherwise the easiest method for you in your location is to use the programme Toaf (use the search field), a VW KKL usb cable with pins 7 & 8 bridged, and any Windows computer to correct this. When you’ve got Toaf and the cable, go into VIN tools and select copy VIN/mileage from IKE to LSM. No more ERR. Regards |

Thanks for your help, I have the cable and the software, but I do not have jumpered pins 7 and 8, even so I have tried and the truth only detects 1 module called "DDE / DME"

Once you've bridged pins 7 and 8 you will be able to read all modules. Most people use solder but even thin wire will work. Good luck |
