Hi Simon and Clf, I was using Hermes, after I got the information from them about the restrictions, I went a .Gov site and was given the impression these restriction are an across the board thing. so did not try any other carriers assuming I would meet the same blocks. If what you say is true then I owe 75Driver an apology . Although Royal mail charges were more than he was willing to pay. Thanks Gents. Lee.

Well, suffice to say that I agree with Karl that political opinions don’t belong on a car forum.

I do want to thank Lee for doing his utmost in trying to get the ATF over to me, and giving me alternative options. No apologies needed for what is outside of your control.😀

Also thank you to others who have notified me of alternative sources available to get ATF.
In truth, I dont have any immediate requirement for the ATF. I had just seen Lees post and thought “I might need that some day”, as you do, with a glass of wine in hand. 🙄🙄
Lee’s offer, on behalf of his ex rover friend Is now available for others.

alternative couriers can be prickly too, about some items though. It is not easy to obtain delivery for heavy/bulky items in general Britain with reasonable costs. I have lost count of the number of cancelled ebay orders I have had because of this.

According to the .Gov site, these restrictions end October 1st. sending goods to N/Ireland should be no more complicated than sending to Scotland, a little more cost I understand though.

ANYONE FOR SOME ATF
FREE BOX INCLUDED

Most oil based liquids, perfumes etc are highly restricted shipping here. An offset of the last several decades of bombs sent via the post. Which still happens sadly.

That makes sense, I guess humans are not all level headed with a respect for the lives of others. Thanks for that Colin.
