Nor me - and I love Skiathos in particular - but with a U.K. population of 67 million and only 4 deaths reported in last 24 hours - not sure anywhere in Greece is attractive with a death rate of 60 plus for a population of just under 11 million

When we were there last October, the coronavirus measures the Greeks had in place were far superior to the UK.

I’d be over there tomorrow if we were allowed.

Interesting - I would love a Greek Island Holiday.....

Also the BBC reported 20 deaths today not 4 - looks like the lower fig was a weekend one.

Default Yes.

I'm booked for Kos but the island has had cases over recent weeks, the Greek government has said that the islanders are getting the jabs first but I've heard nothing from my contact over there. The last time I was there in 2019 I was first off the plane and in my hotel room in seventeen minutes from that.

Don't go regularly now, Hemsby beach holiday park just isn't the same.
It's a shame the old Pontins site is so run down, go and look at it each time we are up there and remember all the fun we had when we were younger.

I need a foreign holiday like most of us do but the thought of going abroad while the world is in the middle of a pandemic is crazy. What happens if you go and get infected with a new strain that the vaccine does not work on? What happens if you get ill while away and there hospitals are full? What if you bring back a new strain to the UK and we go back to where we were this time last year.

We are off to Cornwall in a month, I know it won't be hot but we will have a great time.

Cornwall - beautiful place - and it looks like better weather is on the way as well!!

As for how bad things can get, Bloomberg is reporting that India has 400,000 confirmed infections and 4000 deaths every day. It also goes on to say that these figures are likely to be ”drastic undercounts” due to lack of testing kits, overwhelmed hospitals, plus the fact that even in normal times about 20% of deaths in India simply go unreported.

It seems that political expediency re elections convinced Indian politicians that it was safe to organise huge political rallies

Just how stupid can you get

And now it seems that Hospitals and Dr’s in India have been charged under India'sNational Security Act for sounding the alarm within India’s Health Service over the lack of Oxygen.

They are being accused by the Police of “false scaremongering”.

With all that going on in the world - I think Cornwall has an awful lot going for it.

Its a shame that a Pint of Beer and an overseas holiday is more important that staying safe.

Priorities need to be sorted out before its too late,we already have an upsurge in the Indian strain and talk is going on about delaying the June lifting of more restrictions.

Never mind, we will be cramming people into the footie stadia, and concert halls, just as the Indians did for the IPL Cricket, look what state the country is in now Covid wise,we will never learn.
