Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

No finer sound than rain on a caravan roof.

Good morning everybody.

We seem to be bucking the trend as it's dry here .

Popped out yesterday evening to refit the instrument cluster after Rick fitted his excellent new IPK.

Absolutely brilliant - I can now actually see and read the stuff it's displaying. .

Spotted this as I walked back from the car:

There's always something isn't there

Quickly advised my neighbour to move his car .

And the up onto the roof to get it down.

Turns out that it's a truly wonderful piece of design......

The "straps" are stainless.

The cap is stainless

The little right angle brackets are - yes, you've guessed it - mild steel

Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhh.

If anyone fancies a few days replacing bricks & re-pointing my chimney be my guest. It's on the list for the summer - whichever day that turns out to be this year

Take care

Oh heck! Sorry Andy, bedroom window height is the max on ladders for me these days, I seem to have acquired a death grip on the ladders if I go any higher

Residing in the loft is a 2nd Strat, it was used as a testbed for mods and a Warwick bass.

That's bad news with the arthritis Steve, Half the battle for me is keeping some dexterity in the fingers before they lose the muscle memory.

I bet I could hear from here if you turned it up with that set up.

Everything I use these days is software based with a big floorboard interface for the PC.

The arthritis kinda comes and goes depending what I've been doing with the hands and wrists but the locking fingers is a constant, the only ones not affected by it are the little fingers. The only "blessing" is its not painful but when one of them locks its solid, no amount of effort will move it, I have to free it from the locked position with my other hand.

I'm like you with heights, never been brilliant with heights but its worse now, my confidence at any height is shot! Years ago we had a holiday in Paris, we were up the Eiffel Tower, top floor, Ging was looking over the edge, I was pinned against the wall

It's baby bird feeding time

Not the prettiest of birds but Starling chicks certainly make a noise .

Doubt that they can compete with you Geetar guys with yer big valves though

Mr Woody Woodpecker is a regular visitor until it's almost dusk - leaving with a beak full of food - so we're hoping to see some little Woody's soon

Haven't seen a starling for a long time, used to get them in the garden at the old house but never here. They are actually on the RSPB's danger list!

Woodpecker visits the feeders several times a day, stuffs itself with sunflower seeds.
