Default Yes but.

When the vaccines were made, they were made not for many variants but just one kind of the virus, it's being reported that they seem to be effective against the variants but that's just luck. The variants will happen because people in different places have differing levels of immunity to illness, many will never have had a jab for anything, these people are most at risk as there are no basic building blocks in their immune systems against this kind of thing. There's no valid reason for me to have a vaccine on top of my natural immunity just now, if my levels fall to zero which I very much doubt they ever would I will have the vaccine, my immune system right now is full up with antibodies against covid and I'm certain that a variant would encounter my B cells just like the initial virus and be dealt with. The fact is that everyone can still transmit it no matter if they've had the virus or vaccines, we're going to have to start to live again or we're going to be like this for a long time. I took someone for a covid swab before surgery the other day, the person doing the swab and the person being swabbed have both had both jabs, but the virus has won because it can still be passed on and that fear is making people irrational and defensive "you might still have the virus, you can still carry it" was the answer to the hazmat outfit.

Maybe those that choose not get vaccinated could apply for a Darwin award?

Sadly those that dont have the vaccine will still expect to be treated by the NHS and take up bed spaces. Maybe people who choose not to have the vaccine should sign a waver saying they are happy not to have medical treatment for Covid? It might make them think of the consequences a bit more.

Have you got any distinguishing abilities that make you able to sit in judgement of others? If so, please tell!!
If not, why don't you just literally mind your own business and that of the people you are responsible for? and leave others to mind theirs.

It makes for a much better world!

I have just read all the posts on this thread,I did not realize that we had members of the SAGE group amongst us,

Me personally,I think that the virus, or whatever you would like to call it,is not of this world, one day it will all come out in the open.

And then I'll hold you in my dreams

The holier than thou blind faith is touching but the leap to be judgemental as well about and to sceptical non-believers (for whatever reason) is limiting sensible progress.

To then suggest the prohibition of NHS treatment for non-vaccinated patients is about the limit for me. Smacks of the attempts to pour scorn as seen in media and Gov propaganda. Also smacks as confirmation of earlier thoughts around the limiting of long held freedoms.

Reminds me of 'Methinks he protests too much'.

I like the double meaning of some of the words in the previous posts even when there is a meaninglessness about them.-----------------------ie. not relevant to the thread.----

Banter---Personally I love it.

As long as there's no below the belt stuff.--

I confess to a creeping sense of curiosity. In an earlier post the question arose of a non-vaccinated member of an army squad being seen as a risk to his team members by the fact that he was the only one not vaccinated and therefore a danger to the safety of the team.

The obvious question is: who would be in danger of being infected? Certainly not his colleagues, for the simple reason that they have been done. So, he can’t infect anyone in the team, ergo, no risk. But, his team members of course could infect him if what we supposedly know about the vaccine is entirely true.

In that event, where is the weak link? Surely to meet security of mission, only vaccinated members would be allowed on it with non’s seconded elsewhere.

Just been speaking with a friend who has family in India. The black market is the only way people can get medical aid or oxygen. Scores have been promised their jabs but not heard of anybody having had one. Many other comments about the poverty and illness.

Once again it hits home how lucky we are living in the United Kingdom.
