Good morning Richard, ask your GP for an urgent referral to see a psychiatrist so you can have a mental state assessment for the correct diagnosis and treatment. Taking beta blockers for anxiety attacks is okay in the short term, but beta blockers can mask an underlying mental illness which requires special treatment which can usually be given as an out patient. The fact you have insight is helpful when your asked to give a history.

Cool

Good morning everyone from sunny Saltash.

Grand day yesterday gardening, mowed the two lawns, trimmed the edges the old fashion way with a pair of clippers. Weeded the front gardens, done my neighbours as well. Weeded the side garden. Trimmed the hedge, a job of rain and it shoots up to over 6’ tall.

Got my washing done and out on the line, I love the smell of the washing when it come in off of the line.

Car washing today.

Morning everyone.

Bright and sunny here with the odd few clouds and pretty warm already.

Sometimes folks just amaze you - even when they're family. Anthony worked a 14 hour day yesterday to prep the bathroom for plastering. .

And that was after I'd already stripped out the bath, shower, toilet and basin. Removed the, now redundant, waste pipes, cut and capped the hot & cold water and stripped out the pipework for those. Pulled up the floor and removed 90% of the tiles.

It's an interesting experience acting as the labourer for you son while he does what he does for a living. It was a bit like those folks that came on the Generation Game showing how to fold a parachute etc.

Deepest respect and love for him.

Rich - good to hear that you're going to get some professional help. We'll be by your side on the journey. Take care.

Our bodies are like our cars - when we see something that is not quite right - we often fear the worst when the reality is something simple - but for the life of us we seem to focus on the worst case scenario.

My classic example was on my old Range Rover - a knock appeared - I checked everything but in the end my son found the problem - a WD40 can rolling about in the tray under the passenger seat.

It could be you are suffering from a simple infection - this can often lead to the feelings you describe as toxins build up in your body. You fight it, it goes away, I’m really not THAT badit creeps back. I’m not saying it is this - but it is important you get it checked out.

Best of luck
Phil and Clive I am not at the shrink stage just yet, I am pretty sure it’s all down to the stress of recent events but will definitely make an appointment to see the gp and have asked Fiona to come with me to mention anything I forget to and to listen to the gp. Thanks for your concern but I’m really not THAT bad. I guess I could get there if I don’t seek help now though. I feel a bit better today.
