Not a great day here, not yet anyway. Cool verging on cold due to a thick layer of mist hanging around over the Forth.

Phew! too hot for this lad, I've retreated indoors until after tea when it cools down a bit. Missus & daughter have gone off to York for the day, a team of wild horses wouldn'd get me out on a bank holiday weekend.

Evening all been red hot here, went to see mum this afternoon who is looking very well and contented. We asked her if she was liking it there and she said yes, as it was a nice day we sat outside in the garden with her. It was the first time she had experienced fresh air since her admission to hospital on Apr 10th. I'm still really tired even though I haven't done much over the weekend. We went out for a coffee yesterday afternoon and to get some interview clothes for my son , today been to the home and had to take some of the clothes back as they didn't fit, maybe its still the stress from Friday night/Saturday morning working its way out my system as I could nicely go to sleep

Sun didn't burn through the mist til about 4pm and it never really got warm. I'm having an early night, feeling well below par for some reason.

Day 2 of bathroom work finished at a rather more sensible time of 18:30 .

The room now has a completely new ceiling and all 4 walls have been plaster boarded as needed and skimmed. Now there's another skill I don't have - plastering. It all looks so easy when you watch a fully qualified pro doing it .

Working on fitting the bath, the shower tray, the hot & cold supply and the waste pipes tomorrow.

..........And this is now

Me by Jeff Cranwell, on Flickr

The blue cloudless sky has been replaced by grey, drab, dreariness

Meant to be sunny later though and at least it's dry and not cold!
