Sat in the courtyard of The White Horse in Neatishead on Early May Bank Holiday the weather was like that. Stair rodding down.

Cold, wet, and regularly being hit by small rivulets running off the brolly, ( parasol really" ) onto the back of the neck.

What fun, but there was no way our beer was being left abandoned.

Had a rotten cold since though.

I couldn't, I was a passenger in a friends car, and I had no say in where we were going or for how long.

I can assure you, if it had been up to me, I would have been knocking on your door Andy.

My new fridge has arrived so it's back to the boat tomorrow to install it.

I was thinking of taking the boat out for a jolly as well. Weather forecast suggests .......maybe not

Still, at least I shall have cold beer on board once more

Well........The fridge is in.......Mostly

It didn't want to fit as the compressor was fouling at the back. Had to cut a larger hole in the second skin/bulkhead to get it to fit. The GRP layup on Lady Emma is especially thick, a good thing for her strength, not so good for cutting.

As I wasn't expecting the fridge not to go straight in I didn't come equipped with all my tools.
Borrowed a friends rather old jigsaw.......six blades later as they were all going blunt (HSS) was down to the last blade and trimming the final part when the jigsaw had a hissy fit, overheated and died a death

So........I couldn't quite finish the install. Fridge is up and running but not flushed into it's position. I'll have to finish it off next weekend when I'm back......Armed with my jigsaw and a replacement for my friends

Default Lady Emma goes topless!

Some lovely cloudless blue skies yesterday......Only meant one thing!

Lady Emma got her kit off!
Well not exactly topless as she is a hard top. Got her rear nice and exposed though

Finished off the fridge fitting today.
Was a faff to flush fit it but worth it in the end.
Looks much nicer than sitting proud like the original one did.

Looks good Jeff.

Are you planning on going salty side this year?

I would have if I could have got her out of the water to have the anti foul, anodes, packing glands, engines serviced etc . Covid scuppered those plans and I don’t really want to do so until I’m happy she is ship shape.
Hopefully will get the work done at the end of the season then we can play at a few salty excursions next year
