That I think would be even harder material to work with. I checked the aerial first and couldn't find any problems then checked the cable and found one slight split in the outer sheath so replaced the lot If it causes problems again I have a spare small aerial that my daughter used indoors when she was at uni, so will stick that up

Have a telly in the bedroom, just a small aerial sits behind it. The terrestrial transmitter for Freeview is directly across the Forth from here, can actually see it.

Feeling a bit better today, actually hungry. My other half suggested ordering fish 'n chips so see how I get on with that.

No midges here Jeff, though I did leave the rear seat of the 75 on the grass and was welcomed by a swarm of ants who seemed to enjoy the comfort of a leather seat?

If the problem persists it might be worth checking for any signs of water ingress into the TV via the TV's aerial socket - a not uncommon problem if the coaxial cable's dielectric insulator was/is of the air type.

That happened a few years back Steve, and I put new cable up but made sure I put the "drip loop" at the bottom before it goes through the wall. I have done the same this time.

We get the lot as they lay their eggs by water.
