Default Great wee videos from "Robson Rover Repair"

I hope he doesn't mind me posting this. I am not connected in any way and don't know the chap other than being aware he is a forum member.

https://youtu.be/jWwNQnQGBhY - Part 1

https://youtu.be/Ljs_45aXbLc - Part 2

Watched these last night in a 2am trance . Can tell a lot of effort is going into the production so just wanted to spread the links and hopefully get the man some more views. Lovely to see some well filmed videos of Rover surgery.

Andrew

Awk. Andy thank you very much, no need mate. I just like to document what I do myself now. Wish I'd started doing them 10 years ago might have made a few quid outta it by now haha.

Crack on, you could be Northern Ireland's answer to Chrisfix

Jokes aside it's a good deed and I bet loads of people will find these videos and use them in the future.

Loved watching the videos, note made that 15w 40 oil was used during oil change on the 1.8. Mine has been burning oil for the last few years I believe that this is because at every oil change the garage have been putting in 5w 30 fully synthetic, despite saying last time that handbook says 10w 40 semi. Mechanic says that 5w 30 fully synth is pretty much universal and they use it all the time. Got through 4.5 litres in the last year but now starting to top up with 15w 40 and after 1.5 litres it has stopped smoking so much on start up, got 5 litres and will see what happens over the next 12 months. Pretty much convinced that wrong oil is the problem, not my engine.
Will watch Rover Robson's future videos for tips.

Would help I'd I'd fitted discs to the correct side. Lmao. Had to undo EVERYTHING I'd done, it's why the very last part of part 2 was about 10pm at night.

Part 3 coming next weekend, including the moment I realised fitting the last wheel that I'd got the sides wrong, and the torrent of "oh dears" "gosh" and "someone's mother is a bit of a promiscuous lover of donkeys".

Quite comical for anyone else, but it's going to have to be beeped a little.

Haha sounds like a standard day of home mekaniking. Finish by torch light and/or have slightly injured yourself in some way.
