Saves taking it off,and yes,it does suck it all out.
Invested 18 quid in an electric oil extractor for the car last week and used it for the 1st time yesterday.
Wow, so easy to use, it took less than 20 mins to do a full oil and filter change. No mess, No getting under the car and removing the engine cover.
Perfect job and it extracted 6.65 ltrs from the engine (used a measuring jug to make sure it was all out).
Highly recommend anyone to get one. It’s as simple as sticking a pipe down the dipstick holder into the slump. Connecting to the battery, extraction pipe into a container and switching it on. Takes about 15 mins to empty the slump and you will know it’s done as the pump will change tone.

100% mate. Obviously petrol you still need access to the filters, but diesel it's a no brainer. You can do the rest of the servicing of a diesel in the time it takes to drain.
