err on dashboard

Hi all i have the err periodically on the dash it comes and goes the car is a 02 75 cdt tourer the car is running fine can anyone explain please thanks in advance

This happens to a few cars now and again, I have never been able to fathom out why?

I can only suspect some sort of communication error between the ipk and the lsm.

It's a software glitch which affected a certain range of IPKs during production. I have this on my 2002 2.5 V6 Connoisseur SE and I have been told on the forums that the only cure is a new IPK.

But as it clears itself on the next ignition cycle it's nothing to worry about in the grand scheme of things.

Merely changing th IPK display will not change the "err" scenario,as Reebs says, just live with it.

Apparently happens when you turn the ignition on too fast, ie straight to start instead of pausing at no.2 position. It will clear itself so as others have said, just live with it, or a battery reset to start with

Or fuse 11 in the passenger fusebox

Is it tied in with the brake fault alarm coming on when you start up? Have both of these on Mrs Noc's 75.
