If not for sale, you could leave contact info for first refusal, should it come up in the near future.

Even if not for sale, it may have issues that you may be able assist or advise with. Thereby helping prevent someone being ripped off by an ignorant or lazy technician, or just help someone keep it on the road. (Think of the joy you will bring to Brian for that )

Reminds me of when I got my zt. I had some parts (suspension struts amongst other bits and pieces) for a b4 Passat. I noticed near to where I bought my zt, a b4 sitting forlorn in a drive. A few days later, knocked on the door, explaining i had parts if they wanted them for free. Turned out, it belonged to the guy's late father and he couldn't bear to part with it. It had a few issues, nothing major, but he was working his way through them to perk the car up a little. He had a smile on his face when I left him the parts. Gave me a little boost too.
