Car wash lost my front mat
The day after a filthy wet drive back south from Scotland, I thought I would take the ZT-T down to the local hand car wash which is run by a team of East European guys who normally do a great job. One of the guys took away the 4 MG rubber floor mats for cleaning while a group of guys busied themselves cleaning the inside and outside. Nice job! However, when I went to get back in to drive off, I noticed that the newly cleaned front drivers floor mat didn't look right. It had the logo 'Primera' etched into the rubber surface. Now, unless there had been some sort of instant Japanese takeover of MG, the car wash guys had cocked things up. I think there had been a Nissan, amongst others, getting the wash treatment at the same time and that one had obviously escaped with my mat. So, I need another one.... O.E. MG Rover black rubber floor overmat, drivers side with MG logo Anybody got one, or even a set ? New or second hand (or foot)

I know the guys quite well so I will certainly get the cost, whatever it is, back from the guy who runs the business. I hadn't paid the £15 for the wash and clean, etc., so this will be set against the cost and expenses in replacing the mat. They have my contact number should the Nissan Primera owner realise and return the mat for swap. You would have thought that it would have been obvious to the Nissan owner as well as the car wash guy who wrongly put the mat in. I certainly believe you when you say these mats are quite rare but I hope I manage to get some. I like the rubber ones as they are better wearing than the fabric ones.

You are right !! and to think the only reason I took the ZT-T to the car wash was to get rid of the salt !!

I would go back to the cleaner and give him my number, on the chance that the Nissan owner comes back.
