The V6 belts are indeed due at 90k or 6 years whichever occurs first. It is an expensive repair them 24valves if left to chance. We done one set this morning all went ok ( bar the last muppet who fitted them ) followed up by a 90k this afternoon. The 90k guy has been given one of Actros' flyers and he did say he will pop in and look about.

Thought of the day " Can 3 sets of cam belts be done in one shift ?"

Is the 1.8 K series turbo 60K interval for the belt then? I could have sworn it was 90K. Hey ho, only 9K to go then.

I've just noticed the Haynes manual is advising 45K or 3 years for cam belt change.
