Help! Glow plug warning doesn't light!
Yesterday the Glow plug warning light stopped coming up on start-up. Staring has become sluggish requiring two goes. Can anyone advise probable cause please?

Faulty glow plug relay possibly.
Its in the same case as the ECU, and the contacts get a lot of hammer and can become pitted. If they get drowned due to damp plenum chambers then they turn into a ball of verdigris. I think they are about £80 to replace, but due to the colder mornings it may be an idea to do . |

Many thanks.
Perversely it lit up this morning. I'll have a look as you suggested at the relay. I keep the plenum chamber dry. Pity the ECU is such a pig to put back in place. |

Is it the small unit alongside the ECU with a bolt and plug with 8 wires coming out of it. If so how do you get it out of the black plastic case?
