As has been said Rimmers just charge what XPart will allow them to, of course that doesnt make it any less of a rip off.

What i DO have a problem with is some of their delivery charges. A simple 150ml spray can of MBB Starlight Silver works out at £26.40 after delivery, £30 with 'express' delivery. There is NO excuse for that at all, its absolutely appalling, they should be ashamed of that.

It really does surprise me the comments on these type of threads.

I appreciate that some parts are a lot of money, but they are genuine parts , from a manufacturer no longer producing cars here. There are cheaper equivalents, but, you get what you pay for.

When these parts a no longer available, the price of trying to create a replacement low volume part will be far higher.

Plenty of other reputable companies will send a spray can by courier, with full disclosure of what is in the package, for £5.

Not made Richard; parts are manufactured by an army of small and large specialist companies at home and abroad. Caterpillar distributes them in the wholesale marketplace using their company X-Part.

Not sure why people keep knocking Rimmers. Yes postage is too high but name another X Part dealer that has a decent online catalogue (including diagrams) and discount on X Part list price?

It's like having a proper main dealer still for a manufacturer long since gone. You can always shop around if you are bothered.
