I must admit I haven't been on here much over the last couple of months.
But I have been cutting down on the amount of time I spend on the laptop, well until Winter properly draws in.
While the weather has been nice I spend time in the garden or go visiting friends.

The dark winter nights will also see the posts rise I think.
I believe you are right here, we have evidently sorted out almost all the day to day 'problems' about the cars and enthusiasts know what to look out for in keeping the cars on top form, however the buzzing feeling of the forum is dying slowly for many reasons, most likely people move on to a different brand, my biggest concern is availability of key parts, especially suspension parts, such as self-levelling dampers, and exhausts for the diesel, time will tell, I love my car and will be very sad to see it go, long may it last.

A bit annoying when a thread get's shut down which was quite interesting, perhaps mods could simply delete a post deemed to be over the top..

I recently sold my 75 CDTI as it did what I asked of it plus I didn't want a huge MOT bill but, I will certainly get hold of another 75 in spring, point being, I'll still check out the forum more or less each day..
I take it you mean disingenuous rather than incestuous!, in any case people say thank you to everyone and everything all the time, they even apologise for not saying thank you, it is a particularly British thing, it takes getting used to. In some other cultures, thanking someone isn't necessarily accompanied by verbally saying so, it could be as subtle as a hand gesture, or a facial expression, you need to be able to read the signs, that involves an understanding of the wider human nature, not always easy.
