ZT 190 Exhaust confusion
I a little confused about the centre section of the exhaust, Rimmerbros list it as having a cat but other places give no mention of the cat.
Did some versions not have a 2nd cat? Also any recommendations where to buy a cheap one would be nice, going away on a long trip that may kill the car so I don't really want anything too nice.

Hi Jack,
Dont worry about the CAT as the old exhaust is cut before the flexi joing to the cat. If you want somthing really cheap then somthing like this. Be warned they are cheap and noisey! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-Mg-...IAAOSwbtVZTD67 Or a Klaurius system from eurocarparts. These are slightly better quality and less boomy however dont expect to get more then 2-3 years. Personally I am not a fan of the stainless steel set ups as I found them to boomy on a V6 auto. Saying that nothing beats the factory exhausts! |

Thanks jn12, so how many cats are there on the 190?i thought there were two?
Thanks for the eBay recommendation, it can't be worse than what I have which is a drain pipe and cherry bomb on the end Edit: Oh is the pre cat on the exhaust manifolds?

There is just the one, exhaust manifolds go into the one cat. See pic on link -
http://www.cats2u.co.uk/product_info...yABEgJSDfD_BwE If you still have the oem centre pipe and its the back box that is awful then just replace that. Unfortunatly nothing beats the OEM exhausts. |
