Central Locking and interior door cards
My Passenger side rear door on my 2002 CDT will not open or close with the central locking system. It locks and unlocks perfectly well when using 'manually' by pushing the button down and unlocks by flicking the handle once on the inside. When I'm pressing the button on my keyfob, I can hear and feel the motor in the door working (or perhaps I should say turning, if it was working the CL would be!!)
The optimist in me hopes that something has just misaligned in the door. How difficult is it to get the door card off without wrecking it forever? Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Any fixes? Cheers |

Door cards are relatively easy to remove (or so I'm told) it's the putting them back that can sometimes be a pain. You will break some clips that will need to be replaced though.
Your diagnosis is most likely correct. I'm sure someone will come along with an exact procedure for removing the door card (as I personally haven't done it myself). |
