Sorry to say but Ive seen many a 260, and most of them really are NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- now.
Need a lot of TLC to bring them up to the standard mine and Les's are. Perfect for someone who wants a project, but they really suffer from being peoples daily drivers. |

I didn't buy mine to wrap it in cotton wool in the garage either!

My 260 ZTT does 10k a year and my Interceptor does another 5k. Both are used all the year round. If it rains I switch the wipers on and if the roads are covered in salt I make sure I wash it off. Steve |

My one was bought because it's something I always wanted. I had already bought my 75 Tourer just a few months before having got rid of my BMW because of the depreciation. I've no axe to grind either way, others use their car how they see fit. There may come a day I'll have to part with my toy as no one knows what's in front of them but while I can I'll use it and keep it as pristine as I can. I'm pleased to see others enjoy theirs as they see fit too, happy motoring guys

My Mustang is always off the road for the winter, and never seems to suffer from the lack of use, but my 260 really seems better being used.

It must be something to do with they were chopped around then allegedly undersealed at the factory. In contrast, one of my diesels on 160k+ looks completely different underneath, and in stark contrast to the 260s Ive seen where literally everything that can rust is a brown mess, everywhere. Guess it depends if you want to take care of an appreciating classic or whether its just a random daily really, no big deal, but I prefer to keep mine fresh if I can for the future. Probably if I pick up a ZT-T 260, I would care a little less as that would be more of a workhorse. |
