Default diesel leak

Hi all, update on previous thread. The rear end of the fuel tank is wet i.e darker than the rest of the tank I presume with diesel as it smells of fuel . Also something that looks like a filter near the fuel tank is also damp. I ran the car in idle and there was fluid dripping which appeared to be coming from the thing that looks like a filter. I will take some photos later which may help someone diagnose. Sorry for the rubbish description, hope the magicians on her can work some magic.
Thanks
Tony

Sounds like the diesel fuel cooler which is a common leak point. There is a how to for fixing it on the forum.

Could also be the FBH pump, these corrode and can leak.

Also, check your fuel tank seal - it's a round bung that fits around the in tank pump assembly. It's accessed under the back seats.
This is the one: Fuel Tank Seal - Rover 75 / MG ZT

Mine wouldn't seal properly after I changed my in tank pump.
